Challenge to Change: Laundry

With three little ones, all under the age of three, including an infant who likes to eat all day long, at some days appears not to sleep at all, I feel like there isn't enough time in the day or enough energy left at the end of it to get anything done around the house.  Most of my time is spent feeding, snuggling and playing with Brooke, Lauren and Sam.  Naptime is a precious, golden time where I can lay down and rest, or read books or encouraging blogs.  Or shower.  However, I came to the conclusion that there *had* to be things that were wasting time, or that we could change in order to make things run more smoothly.  So, I've challenged myself to spend the month of June making little changes that can make our household happier and healthier, and spend our time more wisely.

Thing #1: I quit folding laundry!

Spurned by this article at MOPS International, I asked myself what the author's friend asked her.  "You still fold laundry?"  Why?  Within a few days of putting it in the drawer, it looks as though I just dumped it in there anyway, so why not just dump it in there?  Yesterday, that's what my husband and I did.  We washed, dried, DIDN'T FOLD, and put away six loads of laundry.  All we did after it came out of the drier was sort it by who it belonged to.  It was beautiful, and a lot better than having six loads of laundry washed, dried, still not folded and sitting in the hallway for a week.  It saves time folding and guilt about not folding, and that's a change I can live with!
